Bultuk Burger is a popular burger spot in Seogwipo City that I discovered during my visit to Jeju Island last June. I made sure to visit again during my this September trip.

The burgers are truly delicious!

 

Bultuk Burger has a last order time of 17:30, so you must visit for lunch if you want to enjoy a meal there.
 

The Entrance: The entrance gives a lush garden vibe.
 

Upon entering, there is a waiting area on the left side. The popularity of the place means that a waiting area is needed. When we visited on a weekday (September 6, 2024) around 12:30 PM, there was one group ahead of us. Because of this, there were quite a few people taking their food to go.
 

Interior: Inside, you’ll find a small space with about five tables. It has a charming, cozy feel.
 

The waiting area inside the restaurant features certificates of excellence and fun photos.
 

"Bultuk(불턱)" refers to a place where fire is used, and where haenyeo(해녀)- warm up and rest while eating.

* Haenyeo(해녀): Traditional female divers from Jeju Island in South Korea. These skilled women dive without scuba gear to harvest seafood, such as seaweed, shellfish, and octopuses, from the ocean.

 

You can watch the kitchen in real-time, which reflects the restaurant's confidence in its cleanliness.
 

Each table has a cute Groot tissue holder, showcasing the owner's great sense of interior design.

This time, we tried the new menu Egg Bulgogi Burger, along with the Double Cheese Burger and Fresh Cheese Burger. Payments can be made using the tablet card payment device at the table. The prices are not extremely high compared to Seoul burgers but are reasonable for the quality.
 

Double Cheeseburger: This burger features thick patties with melted cheese. Even looking at the photo makes my mouth water.
 

The Double Cheeseburger is juicy with a perfect crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. It’s hard to tell if you’re eating meat or a burger—it’s that good.
 

New Menu - Egg Bulgogi Burger: This burger comes with basic vegetables, a fried egg, and a patty, all generously covered in mayonnaise.
 

The mayonnaise was a bit rich. This menu item might need some recipe adjustments. However, the bulgogi patty was absolutely delicious!
 

Fresh Cheese Burger: A basic yet essential burger. It felt like an upgraded version of a Shake Shack burger.
 

The patty alone offered superior flavor. The sauce inside was a mystery but it was very clean-tasting. This burger was so satisfying that I could have eaten two or three more.
 

There are papers provided at the table so you can cut the burger in half and wrap it in the paper for easy handling. The service is very friendly and attentive.
 
If you're in Seogwipo City and want a quick and tasty meal, Bultuk Burger is definitely the place to go.
And I often saw foreign travelers visiting as well, so you shouldn’t worry about any difficulties ordering and dining at the restaurant!
